Managing Partner

An ex-cadet of Mirzapur Cadet College ( 1972-1977 ). Ex Cadet of Bangladesh Marine Academy( 1977-1979 ), awarded Silver Medal of the Ministry of Shipping as the best nautical cadet in 1979. A Master Mariner ( educated in the U. K). working in the shipping industry since 1977.

After serving long 22 years at sea ( 10 years as Captain/Master ) joined ashore as Marine Superintendent with Nishan Shipping Lines, the biggest private ship owning company during that time (1999) and worked for 1 year. Worked as General Manager and Executive Director in Midland Shipping Lines Ltd., a ship owning company  for 2 years . Then joined with Singapore based Prominent Container Lines ( PCL ) to open a container feeder service to operate between Chittagong and Singapore/Malaysia. Operated 4 feeder vessel as CEO for 3 years. Worked as Managing Director of Globelink Associates Ltd. ( a sister concern of PCL ) , an agency house for 2 years. Globelink Associates handled vessels of US Navy, East Wind Shipping of New York, Stella Shipping of Denmark and many other companies of various countries.

Up on joining Miti Enterprise as Managing Partner in 2005, looking after day to day business affair of the group. At present prime activities of the group are agency, consultancy and marketing services/activities.

Agency services to demolition vessels, trading vessels ( specially tankers of MAERSK & SHELL carrying fuel oil to Chittagong ) and tramping vessels calls Chittagong.

Provided consultancy services as team leader to about 60 ( sixty ) Ship Recycling Facilities ( Ship Breaking Yards ) for the development of infrastructures and management systems as per requirement of national and international agencies since 2010. 42 Ship recycling facilities achieved the standard of ISO 30000 : 2009 ( SRMS – Ship Recycling Management Systems ) and obtained the certificate. This consultancy service is continuing to quite a few recycling facilities.

MITI Enterprise is one of the two SAFETY AGENCIES ( selected and appointed by Ministry of Industries of Bangladesh ) to look after the ENVIRONMENTAL and OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH-SAFETY of the ship breaking industry of Bangladesh. Safety Agency ensures safety of Environment and Occupational health during cutting of every single ship from beaching till completion and reports same to the Ministry of Industry as per instruction given by the Ministry. So far about 40 ships completed breaking under the supervision of MITI Enterprise in last about one year and many more in the process.

As team leader of business development partner of RINA ( Italian Classification Society ) expanded their business of Marine and certification division in many folds in last FIVE YEARS. Now, doing desperate marketing for their INDUSTRY DIVISION ( mainly in the field of oil, gas and energy – feasibility study, assist in selecting and inspecting equipments, supervision during installation of the project, etc. ).
